A young man growing his church and crops

Pastor Chaambwa Siachilwena, a young pastor in Zambia, once relied solely on church contributions and did not see the need to engage in income-generating activities, as he was alone and did not have many needs to cater to.

His perspective changed when he met Possibilities Africa (PA), which enlightened him through its training on the importance of building wealth by utilizing available resources.

The teachings came at an opportune time, as he had just started a new family, resulting in more needs and straining his monthly income.

Pastor Chaambwa identified idle church land and, with the church members’ blessings, he began cultivating winter maize, tomatoes, green, and kidney beans. This marked the start of his economic transformation.

The first harvest was a success! While honing the entrepreneurial skills sparked during PA’s training, he sells fresh vegetables in the community—an initiative that has significantly increased his family’s income.

Inspired by his success, Pastor Chaambwa has formed Shalom groups to transfer these skills to church members and the community.

He is also keen to explore other areas trained by PA: Mentoring the Next Generation, Spiritual Discipleship, and Responsible Citizenship.

His efforts are creating a ripple effect of positive change.

We pray and wish him all the best!
